"Samatvam yoga ucyate."

Yoga is keeping the mind steady.
– Bhagavad Gita 2:48

Calgary Ashtanga Yoga School is an authorized school of the  KPJAYI.org in Mysore, India.  We are proud to be lineage holders of the teachings of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson R. Sharath Jois the current director of the KPJAYI.

As we are reminded in the verse above, yoga is about keeping the mind steady, in our system we access the mind through the practice of physical postures.  This creates strength or mind, body and spirit.

"We are what we repeatedly do." – Aristotole
